850W & 1200W Sports Light Performance

Two output packages allow the LL-SLP Generation 5 to address demanding sports and high-mast applications.

For large commercial facilities and campuses, the LL-SLP can complement other commercial and industrial lighting systems across large facilities and campuses..

850W LED Sports Light

  • Up to 125,000 lumens

  • Up to 147 lm/W

  • 4000K – 125,000 lumens

  • 5000K – 125,000 lumens

  • 5700K – 122,000 lumens

  • 200-480V

  • 70 CRI

1200W LED Sports Light

  • Up to 180,000 lumens

  • Up to 150 lm/W

  • 4000K – 180,000 lumens

  • 5000K – 180,000 lumens

  • 5700K – 170,000 lumens

  • 200-480V

  • 70 CRI

The higher-output 1200W configuration is particularly suited to applications where tall poles, long throws or demanding illumination targets require substantial fixture output.

Designed for Sports Fields, Stadiums & High-Mast Lighting

Typical applications include:

  • Football fields

  • Soccer fields

  • Baseball and softball fields

  • Track and field facilities

  • High school athletic fields

  • College and university sports facilities

  • Municipal sports complexes

  • Stadiums

  • Arenas

  • Recreation centers

  • Tennis complexes

  • Large outdoor athletic facilities

  • High-mast area lighting

Fixture selection should be based on the complete lighting design rather than wattage alone.

Pole height, setback, field dimensions, aiming, beam distribution, target foot-candle levels and uniformity all influence the number and configuration of fixtures required.

Three Precision Sports Lighting Distributions

The LL-SLP Premium provides an additional optical option compared with lower-output sports-lighting configurations.

Available distributions include:

2H×2V Narrow Spot

The tightest available distribution, designed for applications requiring concentrated light and longer throws.

3H×3V Medium Spot

Provides a balance between concentrated projection and field coverage.

4H×4V Narrow Flood

Provides wider coverage for applications requiring a broader distribution across the target area.

The appropriate beam should be selected through photometric analysis based on pole height, pole location, aiming angle and required field coverage.

Using the correct optics can also help control unwanted glare and spill light beyond the playing area.

Optional Remote Power System

For tall-pole installations, the LL-SLP Generation 5 offers an optional Remote Power Box configuration.

The drive power can be installed near the bottom of the pole rather than remaining with the luminaire at the top.

This provides easier access to critical electrical components for inspection and maintenance and can reduce the need for elevated equipment when driver service is required.

Remote power extension cords are available in approximately:

  • 35 ft.

  • 65 ft.

  • 164 ft.

A dedicated power-box mounting rail is also available, and two remote power boxes can be installed on one mounting rail.

For stadiums and athletic facilities with tall lighting structures, remote driver accessibility can be an important long-term maintenance consideration.

Optional Attached Power Box

The LL-SLP can also be configured with the power box attached at the fixture.

This arrangement keeps the fixture and separate power assembly together at the top of the pole, simplifying installations where remote driver access is not required.

The appropriate configuration depends on pole design, wiring distance, installation requirements and the facility’s maintenance strategy.

Wireless Sports Lighting Controls

The LL-SLP is controls ready and supports optional Synapse™ wireless lighting controls.

Control capabilities include:

  • Standard 0-10V dimming

  • 12VDC controls-ready input

  • Isolated 0-10V/PWM control

  • Timer modes

  • Always-on auxiliary power

  • Wireless fixture control

  • Central base station

  • Remote lighting management

  • Scheduling

  • Dynamic lighting behaviors

  • Programmable sports-lighting effects

Advanced control packages can support custom effects such as sweep, chase, bounce, cycle, level-up and marquee-type sequences for stadium and sports-facility applications.

Built for Elevated Outdoor Installations

The LL-SLP Generation 5 uses a solid-state die-cast aluminum housing with a protective powder-coated finish.

The fixture is designed specifically for sports applications and is 3G vibration rated.

Built-in surge protection includes:

  • 6kV differential mode

  • 10kV common mode

The fixture is also IP65 and UL Wet Location rated for outdoor environments.

Mounting Options

Multiple mounting arrangements allow the LL-SLP to accommodate new construction and retrofit projects.

Options include:

  • Bracket mounting

  • Post-top mounting

  • Tenon mount

  • Square beam mounting bracket

  • Cross-arm installations

Existing sports-lighting poles should be evaluated for fixture mounting compatibility and structural requirements before retrofit.

Color Temperature Options

The LL-SLP Generation 5 is available in:

4000K – Neutral-white appearance with maximum rated output.

5000K – Common commercial and sports-lighting color temperature with maximum rated output.

5700K – Cooler-white appearance with slightly lower lumen output.

Color temperature should be selected according to project specifications, facility preferences and surrounding environmental requirements.

Buyer Q&A:

What Is the Advantage of the 2H×2V Narrow Spot?

The 2H×2V distribution concentrates the fixture’s output into a tighter beam than the 3H×3V and 4H×4V options.

This can be useful for longer throws and specific high-mast layouts where light must be projected from elevated or more distant pole locations.

Optics and aiming should be determined through the lighting layout rather than selected solely by mounting height.

Why Use a Remote Power Box?

Sports fixtures are commonly installed on tall poles, making maintenance access more difficult.

The LL-SLP’s optional remote power system allows the drive power to be positioned near the bottom of the pole. This provides easier access to the electrical equipment rather than requiring driver maintenance at fixture height.
