  • 10-year warranty

At 4000K and 5000K, the fixture produces up to 92,000 lumens at 153 lm/W. The 5700K configuration produces approximately 90,000 lumens at 150 lm/W.

Sports Field & Stadium Applications

The LL-SLE is designed for high-output area illumination where mounting heights, throw distances and uniformity requirements exceed those of conventional commercial area lighting.

Typical applications include:

  • Football fields

  • Soccer fields

  • Baseball and softball facilities

  • Track and field facilities

  • Tennis and pickleball complexes

  • High school athletic fields

  • Municipal sports complexes

  • Stadiums

  • Arenas

  • Recreation centers

  • Field houses

  • High-mast area lighting

  • Large outdoor recreational facilities

The appropriate fixture quantity and distribution should be determined by mounting height, pole locations, field dimensions, target foot-candle levels and required uniformity.

3H×3V and 4H×4V Optical Distributions

Sports lighting requires more than high lumen output. The light must be delivered efficiently from the pole to the intended portions of the playing surface.

The LL-SLE Generation 5 is available with:

3H×3V Medium Spot Distribution
Provides a more concentrated beam for applications requiring controlled projection and longer throws.

4H×4V Narrow Flood Distribution
Provides broader horizontal and vertical distribution for field and area coverage.

Selecting the proper distribution is an important part of controlling uniformity, glare, spill light and fixture quantity.

For larger sports-lighting projects, a photometric layout should be used to determine fixture aiming and distribution before installation.

Optional Remote Power System

One of the LL-SLE Generation 5’s most important maintenance features is its optional Remote Power Box configuration.

Instead of requiring the driver and associated power components to remain at the fixture’s elevated mounting position, the drive power can be installed near the bottom of the pole using the appropriate fixture and extension power cords.

This configuration can provide easier access to critical electrical components for inspection and maintenance.

For high-mast and sports-field installations, easier driver access can reduce the need to service electrical components at the top of the pole.

Remote power extension cords are available in multiple lengths, including approximately:

  • 35 ft.

  • 65 ft.

  • 164 ft.

Power-box mounting rails are also available, and two remote power boxes can be installed on a single mounting rail.

Attached Power Box Configuration

Projects that do not require a ground-level remote power arrangement can use the optional attached power-box configuration.

With this arrangement, the separate power unit is installed with the fixture at the top of the light pole.

This provides a compact installation and avoids the additional remote wiring associated with locating the driver near the base of the pole.

The choice between attached and remote power should be based on pole configuration, maintenance strategy, installation requirements and project economics.

Controls-Ready Sports Lighting

The LL-SLE Generation 5 is controls ready and includes standard 0-10V dimming capability.

Available control features include:

  • 12VDC controls-ready input

  • 0-10V dimming

  • Isolated 0-10V/PWM control

  • Timer modes

  • Always-on auxiliary power

  • Optional Synapse™ wireless controls

  • Centralized lighting management

  • Remote access options

  • Programmable lighting behaviors and effects

Wireless controls can provide facility operators with greater flexibility for scheduling, dimming and managing field lighting.

Advanced control packages can also support programmable sports-lighting effects where required.

Built for High-Mast Environments

Sports-field fixtures are exposed to wind, vibration, weather and long operating periods at elevated mounting heights.

The LL-SLE uses a solid-state die-cast aluminum housing with a protective powder-coated finish and is rated for 3G vibration.

Additional electrical protection includes built-in surge suppression rated at:

  • 6kV differential mode

  • 10kV common mode

These characteristics make the fixture suitable for permanent outdoor sports and high-mast installations.

Mounting Options

The LL-SLE Generation 5 supports multiple installation configurations.

Available mounting options include:

  • Standard bracket mounting

  • Post-top mounting

  • Tenon mount

  • Square beam mounting bracket

  • Cross-arm installations

Mounting configuration should be coordinated with the existing or proposed sports-lighting poles and cross arms.

Color Temperature Options

Three standard color temperatures are available:

4000K – Up to 92,000 lumens
A more neutral-white appearance suitable for facilities seeking a less cool visual environment.

5000K – Up to 92,000 lumens
A common choice for commercial outdoor and athletic-field lighting.

5700K – Approximately 90,000 lumens
Provides a cooler-white appearance for projects specifying higher color temperature.

The correct CCT should be selected according to facility requirements, surrounding properties, project specifications and desired visual appearance.

Buyer Q&A:

Why Choose a Remote Driver?

The principal advantage is maintenance accessibility.

Traditional sports fixtures place the driver high on the pole with the luminaire. If the driver requires service, elevated access equipment may be necessary.

The LL-SLE’s optional remote power arrangement allows the drive power to be positioned near the bottom of the pole, providing easier access to the equipment.

For facilities with tall sports-lighting poles, this can be an important long-term maintenance consideration.
